Responsibilities and Tasks
· Manage a caseload of personal injury claims (e.g., auto accidents, slip & falls, wrongful death)
· Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, demand letters, and settlement agreements
· Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel
· Conduct legal research and assist attorneys with trial preparation
· Organize and maintain case files, medical records, and evidence
· Calculate damages, track medical treatment, and prepare settlement demands
· Assist with depositions, mediations, and hearings
Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years of personal injury paralegal experience (plaintiff-side preferred)
· Strong knowledge of civil litigation and personal injury law procedures
· Familiarity with Texas law firms is a plus
Hard Skills
· Proficiency in legal software such as Filevine, Prolaw, and Microsoft Office
· Experience handling medical records, liens, and insurance claims
· Ability to draft, format, and proofread legal documents
Soft Skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
· Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
· Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
