Controlador financiero

Produce Experience Inc., a fast-growing fresh produce company operating in the U.S. market, is looking for a Controller
with strong experience in U.S.-based financial operations. This role is critical to ensuring financial accuracy, internal controls, cash flow stability, and operational alignment across accounting, inventory, production, logistics, and billing.

You will lead the finance team in Colombia and coordinate closely with U.S. operations, acting as a key financial partner to leadership in a business generating approximately USD 1M in monthly sales.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end accounting operations (AR, AP, reconciliations, month-end close) for U.S.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, cash flow, P&L, balance sheet, AR aging, and KPIs
• Ensure accurate product costing, labor burden, and inventory valuation
• Oversee billing, collections, disputes, credit reviews, and AR aging improvement
• Monitor cash flow, lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and financial processes for scalability and audit readiness
• Coordinate closely with Warehouse, Production, Logistics, Purchasing, and Sales
• Lead and develop a multi-country finance and administrative team

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's or specialization preferred)
• 7+ years of experience as Controller, Finance Director, or Senior Accounting Lead
• Proven experience working with
  U.S. companies and U.S. financial operations
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and internal controls.
• Experience in food distribution, fresh produce, logistics, or high-volume operations (strong plus)
• Strong background in AR, collections, inventory, process documentation, and controls
• Intermediate English (B1+), able to communicate with U.S. stakeholders
• High analytical skills, leadership maturity, and operational mindset
• Valid B1/B2 visa and availability to travel to New York
