Job Title: Legal Assistant – Personal Injury

Shift: 8:30 am-5:30 Col Monday to Friday.

We are a fast-growing personal injury law firm with a strong back-office support team. While we currently work with experienced legal assistants based in the Philippines, we are now looking to bring in talented professionals from Latin America to add diversity, enhance collaboration, and bring a fresh perspective to our team culture.

Position Overview: The Legal Assistant will support attorneys and case managers in Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and personal injury cases. This is a non-client-facing role — clients will not have direct contact with you. You will work on the back end to ensure claims are opened, documents are obtained, deadlines are met, and case-related tasks are handled efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities: PIP & Personal Injury Case Support
• Contact insurance companies to open new claims.
• Communicate regularly with assigned case managers to track progress and obtain necessary documentation.
• Request, obtain, and follow up on medical records and other essential documents.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance in all communications and documentation.
• Identify reasons for rejected requests and proactively resolve issues (e.g., missing information, incorrect dates of service, incomplete authorizations).
• Exhibit strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to foster positive interactions with insurance representatives and medical providers. Administrative Support
• Organize and maintain case files, including both physical and electronic records.
• Schedule appointments, meetings, depositions, and manage key deadlines.
• Prepare and maintain case calendars to track important dates.
• Archive legal documents according to firm procedures.
• Confirm case statuses and update relevant parties.

Required Qualifications:


• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Legal Assistan in personal injury law.
• Bilingual (English + Spanish) preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical records handling.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Persistence, discipline, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with a professional and personable phone manner.
• Proficiency with standard office and case management software.
• Stable internet connection and a quiet work environment suitable for remote work. Preferred Qualifications:
• familiar with Florida law and procedures (preferred, but not required).
