Job Title: Preconstruction Coordinator

Type: Full-time, Independent Contractor

Location: Remote

Work Hours: U.S. Central Time Zone

Position Summary

The Preconstruction Coordinator supports the Preconstruction team in preparing budgets, proposals, schedules, and other deliverables during the early phases of a project. This role works closely with estimators, project managers, and business development staff to ensure accurate and timely information is available for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation, review, and organization of preconstruction documents, including estimates, proposals, bid forms, and schedules.

  • Track bid invitations, subcontractor responses, and proposal submissions.

  • Maintain up-to-date project files, drawings, and specifications.

  • Support the team with quantity take-offs and basic estimating tasks as directed.

  • Communicate (primarily via phone) with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to collect necessary project information.

  • Help prepare presentation materials for client meetings and interviews.

  • Monitor and update preconstruction logs, checklists, and reports to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Perform general administrative support for the preconstruction team, including scheduling meetings and distributing updates.

Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Bluebeam is a plus.
