ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll drive the development of scalable, high-performance systems that power data-driven insights and revenue growth. You'll lead efforts to optimize databases, build efficient back-end solutions, and ensure reliability across data-intensive workflows. This role offers the opportunity to shape technical strategy, collaborate with cross-functional experts, and contribute to innovative solutions at the intersection of data engineering and software development.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Lead the design and optimization of databases to improve performance, scalability, and efficiency, with a strong focus on query optimization, indexing strategies, and data architecture best practices;
  • Build and maintain efficient, scalable back-end systems to handle high data volumes, prioritizing the optimization of revenue-driving features;
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications with an emphasis on performance, reliability, and scalability;
  • Write clean, modular code following Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, with proficiency in Python;
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate high-level concepts into actionable, effective software solutions;
  • Design and implement event-driven processes to improve data flow, responsiveness, and scalability across systems.
MUST HAVES
  • 4+ years of experience with Python;
  • Hands-on experience building tools using Streamlit for Snowflake;
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with Snowflake;
  • Experience with dbt (data build tool) for data transformation and modeling;
  • Upper-intermediate English level.
NICE TO HAVES
  • Background in data analytics;
  • Exposure to or hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks or integrations.
