The Role

This role sits within our Asset Management division, supporting the launch and deployment of a new climate-focused fund in Latin America, built in partnership with a globally respected private equity firm in emerging markets. The position will also collaborate closely with ThirdWay Partners' broader Asset Management team, with a focus on nature solutions.

We're looking for a sharp, driven, and impact-aligned Associate to support the fund's end-to-end investment process from sourcing to structuring, execution to portfolio management. But more than technical skills, we're looking for someone who's energised by purpose, excited by ambiguity, and hungry to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Investment execution

• Originate and source investment opportunities in the focus sectors

• Support full investment process: diligence, modelling, structuring, execution

• Build and maintain robust financial models to assess credit capacity and financial health

• Prepare compelling and accurate Investment Committee materials

• Work alongside legal counsel to support negotiations and document drafting

Portfolio management

• Monitor portfolio performance (financial and impact) and ensure compliance with investment terms

• Draft reports for investors and regulators

• Work across internal teams and with external partners to keep operations smooth and scalable

Project & stakeholder coordination

• Serve as a bridge between the Fund's team and broader ThirdWay teams (Asset Management, Advisory, Legal)

• Collaborate across functions and geographies to build processes, systems, and partnerships

What we're Looking For

• 3–6 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or direct investment with a focus on climate

• Strong experience building and analysing financial models (non-negotiable)

• Track record of executing transactions and working across stakeholders

• Passion for climate finance and sustainable development in emerging markets

• Based in or open to relocating to Bogotá or Quito

• Spanish and English fluency

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Private Debt

• Knowledge of the Andean climate investment ecosystem

• Familiarity with sustainable mobility, greenbuilt environment, or nature-based solutions

• Experience working with regulatory or investor reporting frameworks
