We are seeking a highly experienced and seasoned Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our cross-functional team as a key individual contributor. This pivotal role requires a balanced expertise in both backend and frontend technologies, with a 50/50 split focused on delivering high-quality, end-to-end software solutions.

You will be expected to drive features from architectural conception through to deployment, working across modern Ruby microservices and scalable React single-page applications. This position demands a high degree of autonomy, strong collaborative skills, and a commitment to code quality, testing, and operational excellence, including contributions to our CI/CD pipelines.

• Full-Stack Ownership: Take complete ownership of feature development, encompassing technical design, implementation, comprehensive testing, and eventual deployment across both the frontend and backend.

• Backend Engineering (Ruby): Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for new and existing backend microservices and APIs using Ruby.

• Frontend Development (React): Develop complex user-facing features and enhance existing modern single-page applications using React and its core ecosystem.

• API Design: Architect, build, and maintain robust and scalable RESTful APIs to serve the application and external integrations.

• Technical Governance & Testing: Contribute significantly to technical design discussions, component architecture, and uphold quality by writing comprehensive unit and integration tests.

• DevOps & Deployment: Contribute to the operational excellence of new services, including the occasional setup and configuration of CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaboration: Collaborate closely and continuously with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers within an agile and highly autonomous environment.

• Problem Solving: Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and bugs across the stack, devising and implementing effective solutions.

• Extensive Experience: 8+ years of professional software development experience in a full-stack capacity.

• Deep Backend Expertise (Ruby): Demonstrated deep expertise in backend development using Ruby, including significant experience building and maintaining services outside of a large Ruby on Rails monolith.

• Strong Frontend Proficiency (React): Strong proficiency in frontend development, specifically with React and its modern component-based architecture.

• State Management: Hands-on experience implementing and managing application state using advanced tools like Redux or Redux Toolkit (RTK).

• Data & API: Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable RESTful APIs and strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including basic ORM and query optimization skills.

• Containerization & Orchestration: Required hands-on experience utilizing Docker and Kubernetes for containerization, deployment, and orchestration in a production environment.

• Quality Commitment: A strong, demonstrable belief in automated testing and extensive experience writing comprehensive unit and integration tests across the stack.

• Autonomy & Communication: Proven record of high autonomy, strong ownership, excellent communication, and effective collaboration skills.

• Hands-on professional experience with the Ruby on Rails framework.

• Familiarity and practical experience with TypeScript in a large-scale React application.

• Experience with other backend languages such as Python or Golang.
