About the Client:

The Client is a reliable, emotionally mature organization focused on grief education and bereavement support. The mission-driven business requires consistent support to manage digital communities, content, and administrative functions. Because the work involves frequent exposure to sensitive content about loss and bereavement, the ideal candidate must be emotionally stable, maintain appropriate boundaries, and demonstrate empathy and professionalism.

About the Role:

This role supports a grief focused education and community organization with a mix of administrative support, basic content management, and light design tasks. You will help with inbox and scheduling support, review website comments for safety and spam, and create simple assets in Canva using existing materials such as articles and event information. The schedule is flexible with approximately twenty hours per week and regular check-ins with the team, so this role is ideal for someone who works autonomously, pays close attention to detail, and feels comfortable working around grief related topics.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Management & Design

• Content Implementation: Enter and format articles in WordPress (not writing original content).
• Social Content Creation: Create social media posts and basic graphics (flyers, presentation slides) from existing materials, utilizing tools like Canva.
• Video Management: Download and post videos to YouTube, adding titles/descriptions from provided information.
• Design Assessment: Be prepared to complete a small, paid test assignment (e.g., creating a flyer) to demonstrate aesthetic skills before hiring.
• Promotions: Maintain and manage a promotions calendar for events.

2. Community & Content Moderation (Sensitive Focus)

• Comment Review: Review and approve article comments on the website backend (WordPress).
• Safety Screening: Monitor comments for spam, hateful language, and safety red flags (e.g., self-harm risks), escalating unapproved or concerning comments to the Owner.
• Community Support: Handle basic communication and support tasks related to online communities (Circle).

3. Administrative & Operational Support

• Email Management: Review, flag, organize, and respond to some messages based on templates and guidance.
• Event Follow-up: Upload slides and event recordings; draft and send emails to attendees (using ConvertKit/Kit).
• Process Documentation: Actively document existing processes and create/update simple SOPs.
• Scheduling: Handle scheduling and calendars.

• CMS: Proficiency in WordPress for content implementation and formatting articles.

• Email Platforms: Familiarity with Kit (formerly ConvertKit) is helpful.
• Community Tools: Familiarity with StreamYard (webinars) and Circle (community platform).
• Experience: Helpful experience includes working with online content, digital communities, and working with neurodiverse team members (ADHD/organizational support).
