Earth Systems is expanding into Latin America and we're hiring an Environmental Consultant / Project Engineer to support our environmental consulting services, circular-economy pilots, Earth Repair initiatives, and CharMaker biochar projects.

You will work closely with our teams in Australia, Africa, and Asia, supporting consulting projects and technology deployments across multiple continents, while helping to establish our LATAM hub in Medellín.

About the Role

You will:

• Deliver components of environmental & sustainability consulting projects (e.g., baseline studies, audits, carbon & waste assessments)
• Support Earth Repair & biochar pilots — field logistics, data collection, technical reporting
• Assist with permitting, compliance, and stakeholder engagement for LATAM projects
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and partners in English and Spanish
• Collaborate with colleagues worldwide to ensure high-quality delivery
• Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities and supporting bids & tenders
  

 Your Skills & Background

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Forestry, or related fi
• 1–5+ years' experience in environmental consulting, ESG, or project engineering
  
• Experience in impact assessments, baseline surveys, or circular-economy / waste-to-value projects
• Fluent Spanish and strong English communication skills (written & spoken) – essential for global collaboration
• Willingness to travel across LATAM and occasionally overseas
• Proactive, collaborative, and committed to climate-positive outcomes

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with carbon projects, biochar, or biomass-to-energy technologies
• Familiarity with IFC, Equator Principles, or international sustainability frameworks
• Skills in GIS (QGIS/ArcGIS) or data analysis
• Experience in ESG, carbon accounting, or circular-economy initiatives
