About the Role

This role is valid only for Colombia.

As a QA Automation Engineer (SDET), you'll architect and own the quality strategy for a high-profile migration of marketing pages, building a modern automated testing foundation from the ground up. You'll partner closely with Engineering to replace manual validation with a scalable TypeScript + Playwright framework, implement visual regression testing to ensure pixel-perfect UI fidelity, and integrate quality gates into CI/CD to keep releases continuously shippable within a Headless CMS-driven architecture.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain a scalable automation framework using TypeScript and Playwright for E2E and API validation
  • Implement and enforce an automated visual regression testing strategy to detect UI differences across viewports/devices
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines, providing fast feedback on pull requests and release readiness
  • Validate functional user journeys and critical marketing page flows end-to-end
  • Create automated checks for Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and technical SEO as part of the pipeline
  • Develop scripts to validate Headless CMS content/data integrity (e.g., broken links/assets, JSON schema/REST response validation)
  • Audit and review unit tests with Front-End engineers to improve coverage and reliability
  • Mentor and influence developers on testing best practices to strengthen a quality-first culture
  • Establish reporting and dashboards for test execution, coverage, and quality trends for stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned
About You
Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years of relevant QA Automation / SDET experience (or equivalent depth of hands-on automation ownership)
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript and TypeScript for building maintainable test code
  • Expert proficiency with Playwright, including building frameworks (not only running existing scripts)
  • Proven experience implementing automated visual regression testing in production environments
  • Hands-on CI/CD experience, including integrating automated suites and configuring quality gates
  • API testing skills, including validating REST/JSON responses for Headless CMS platforms
  • Knowledge of automated accessibility testing tools and practices (WCAG-aligned)
  • Collaborative communication skills with the ability to partner with engineers, review tests, and drive adoption of best practices
  • +B2 english level is required
