What You'll Do

Join the BCG X Delivery team and work on innovative projects with our consulting units. As a Data Engineer, you'll use modern data engineering practices to strengthen BCG Consulting and BCG X across different areas.

You'll lead the design, development, and delivery of data solutions, adapting them to client needs. From quick prototypes to enterprise-grade systems, you'll ensure efficient, high-quality results. Your work will directly support project success and help bring ideas to life.

Technical Requirements - Required

Programming Languages

Python and SQL

Data Engineering

Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB or other)

NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Neo4j or other)

Distributed data systems (Spark - PySpark or Hadoop)

Cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP)

Technical Requirements - Nice to have

Data orchestration (Airflow, Data Factory, Glue, Prefect, Dagster or other)

Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau or Looker)

Data modeling (Snowflake, Star schema)

Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Streaming frameworks (Kafka)

Storage (Azure Data Lake Storage)

Job Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree

Fluency in Portuguese and English

Experience in Data Engineering across various industries, demonstrating a track record of delivering analytics solutions in commercial environments

Core atributes:

Use Big Data tools and frameworks to meet project needs

Build and optimize ETL processes across different systems

Partner with teams to define outcomes, choose methods, and deliver insights

Lead analytics modules and communicate results clearly

Share learnings, improve best practices, and ensure confidentiality

Mentor junior team members and support technical training

Communicate effectively in writing and speaking

Apply strong analytical skills across the full analytics lifecycle
