About the Role
Theta Software is hiring a high-agency Senior Financial Analyst to help scale its platform for AI model training and evaluation. This role blends deep financial modeling with operational execution. You'll build complex Excel models, lead validation workflows, and manage domain experts. It's a fast-moving environment with direct access to leadership and real growth opportunities.

This is not a traditional finance position, we're looking for someone who thrives in unstructured environments, can switch between strategy and execution, and is excited to build high-quality financial content that trains next-generation AI models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize advanced financial models across domains including corporate finance, private equity, and investment banking

  • Design and manage workflows for model validation, data cleaning, and reporting

  • Review and refine financial tools and exercises created by internal teams and collaborators

  • Create and test real-world financial problem sets used in training AI systems

  • Provide hands-on support ensuring the quality, accuracy, and clarity of financial deliverables

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve content and streamline operations


Requirements

  • 2+ years in finance, preferably investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance

  • Strong Excel modeling skills (scenario analysis, complex formulas, data management)

  • Experience with high-complexity or large-scale financial analysis

  • Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles

  • High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and analytical thinking

  • Self-starter who operates well in a startup environment

  • Fluent English (C1 or C2) written and verbal communication must be strong

  • Candidates with small-business bookkeeping backgrounds will not be considered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

  • CFA, CPA, or similar certifications

  • Experience mentoring or managing junior analysts

  • Exposure to data visualization or modeling automation tools

Compensation & Logistics

  • Full-time remote role based in LATAM

  • Flexible work hours, but must overlap with U.S. business hours

  • Opportunity to grow into a leadership role in a scaling team


Success Indicators (First 3–6 Months)

  • Deliver 3–5 polished financial models across multiple domains

  • Lead 2–3 end-to-end financial content workflows with minimal oversight

  • Improve or redesign existing modeling frameworks for operational use

  • Consistently meet internal quality benchmarks for content and execution
