As a US Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for meticulous tax preparation, compliance, and strategic planning. You will ensure our clients' tax obligations are handled with the utmost integrity and accuracy while fostering strong relationships through effective communication. We seek a professional who thrives in a digital environment and can navigate the complexities of U.S. tax law with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for clients, ensuring adherence to current tax regulations
  • Review client financials to identify tax-saving opportunities and compliance issues
  • Maintain organized records in alignment with IRS requirements, ready for audits if necessary
  • Communicate effectively via email with clients to gather needed information and clarify tax-related questions
  • Utilize Canopy CRM to manage tax projects efficiently, translating client communications into actionable tasks
  • Collaborate with team members on tax-related projects and deadlines
  • Monitor client inbox and respond to inquiries or delegate tasks as necessary
  • Stay informed on changes in tax legislation and implement these updates into client practices
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a US Tax Accountant, preferably with 3+ years in tax preparation for individuals and businesses
    Active CPA or EA credential
    Deep knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail-oriented tax processing
  • Exceptional written communication skills to effectively engage with clients via email
  • Proficiency in Canopy CRM or similar tax technology platforms
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating with a diverse team
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple clients and deadlines efficiently
