Senior Python Developer

As a Senior Python Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and deploying software solutions that have global impact across industries such as conservation, healthcare, and supply chain. You will work closely with multiple development teams and external partners to solve complex problems, delivering scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications. The role involves hands-on development, architecture design, and leading the implementation of solutions while ensuring high-quality standards, security, and performance. You will also contribute to advancing technical innovation, leveraging data-driven insights, and supporting agile development practices in a collaborative environment. This position offers the opportunity to influence product design, mentor teams, and directly contribute to impactful projects that make a difference.

Accountabilities:

· Design, develop, and deploy Python-based applications and web services at scale.

· Lead implementation of solutions across development teams, ensuring maintainable and reliable software.

· Develop REST-based APIs and integrate with major data storage engines (PostgreSQL/AlloyDB, MySQL, Redis).

· Apply best practices for application security, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into functional solutions.

· Support agile software development processes, including documentation, code reviews, and deployment.

· Mentor team members, encourage continuous learning, and foster a culture of innovation.

· years of software development experience with 4+ years of professional Python experience (v3.8+).

· Proven experience building and deploying SaaS applications at scale.

· Strong understanding of web and mobile development frameworks and back-end systems.

· Expertise in RESTful API design, cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure), and application security.

· Experience with major database systems and in-memory data stores (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, etc.).

· Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills.

· Strong communication skills and ability to produce clear design documentation.

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
