Description
We're Hiring Senior Backend + DevOps Engineer – Bogotá (Hybrid) At Traffic Tech, we're redefining freight logistics with AI-powered platforms that move goods smarter, faster, and more efficiently. Our Bogotá tech hub is at the heart of this transformation, building next-generation systems for our global Freight Operating System. We're looking for a Senior Backend + DevOps Engineer with an AI-first mindset to design and maintain secure, scalable back-end systems and CI/CD pipelines that power automation across our freight workflows. Language Requirement: English (B2+) What You'll Do
Backend Development
  • Build high-performance APIs and microservices using Python (FastAPI), PostgreSQL, Kafka, and gRPC
  • Integrate vector databases (Weaviate) for AI-driven workflows like semantic search, OCR/EDI, and RAG
  • Develop event-driven back-end systems with async processing and schema enforcement
DevOps & Infrastructure
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Helm, Terraform, and Kubernetes (AKS)
  • Automate infrastructure with autoscaling, cost optimization, and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki)
Security & Compliance
  • Implement secure deployments (RBAC, OAuth2, mTLS, Vault)
  • Ensure audit readiness for SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001
  • Perform vulnerability scanning and enforce secure development practices
AI-First Engineering
  • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, AI agents) for code generation, testing, debugging, and documentation
  • Advocate and implement AI efficiencies across the engineering lifecycle
 What You Bring
  • 5+ years of back-end experience (Python, FastAPI, Kafka, microservices)
  • 3+ years in DevOps with Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, ArgoCD
  • 2+ years in secure software development with compliance knowledge
  • Proficiency using AI development tools daily
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in dynamic, hybrid environments
Nice to Have
  • Experience with vector databases and LLM-based workflows
  • Knowledge of logistics, freight, or supply chain systems
  • Relevant certifications (CKAD, Azure DevOps, Cloud Security)
