Role Summary

We are actively seeking an
Accountant
to support our Bogotá office. This role is part of our global accounting team and will help maintain accurate and timely financial records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced international environment and have C1 level of written and spoken English.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger:

  • Prepare financial records for assigned countries as directed by the LATAM Accounting Manager.
  • Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled or cleared monthly.
  • Perform and maintain general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and post various journal entries.
  • Reconcile and clear suspense accounts.

Third-Party Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile Moffatt & Nichol's financial records with local financial statements provided by external accounting firms.
  • Ensure all intercompany and third-party balances are properly eliminated through adjustments and reclassifications.

Other Duties:

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed in accordance with company policies and collective agreements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum
    1 year of experience
    in public or private accounting.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (C1 or higher).

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively in an international, fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Compliance
