Engagement Summary

We are seeking a Microsoft IAM Specialist who will lead identity governance and secure access across Microsoft platforms, with a strong emphasis on automation and self-service enablement. The ideal candidate will design solutions that reduce manual effort, improve user experience, and ensure compliance through streamlined workflows.

What You'll Do

IAM Expertise:

• Automate identity lifecycle tasks (provisioning, deprovisioning, group membership) or utilize Entra Entitlement Management to enable self-service access requests.
• Implement conditional access policies and evaluate impact before deployment.
• Apply governance principles, including Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
• Implement and manage federation protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC) for secure integrations.

Automation & Self-Service Enablement:

• Design and implement workflows that allow users to manage access and resources through self-service portals.
• Use Microsoft Graph API and PowerShell to automate repetitive IAM tasks.
• Integrate identity workflows with approval processes to minimize IT overhead.

Core Skills (Daily Drivers)

• Privileged Identity Management (PIM) configuration and governance.
• Conditional Access Insights & Reporting for policy impact analysis.
• SSO & Federation Protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC).
• PowerShell proficiency (or another scripting/programming language with willingness to learn PowerShell).
• Microsoft Graph API for identity automation.
• Logic Apps experience or willingness to learn for workflow orchestration.

Good-to-Have

• Microsoft Intune for basic device compliance automation.
• Azure Automation for scheduled identity tasks.
• Azure Monitor & Log Analytics for identity and access monitoring.
• Exchange Online: Ability to automate mailbox provisioning, permission assignments, and manage distribution groups/shared mailboxes.
• Hybrid Identity: Experience managing hybrid identity environments and synchronization.
• Entra Connect Sync: Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting directory synchronization.

• Advanced Identity Governance (IGA): Access certification campaigns and complex RBAC.
• Privileged Access Management (PAM): Hands-on experience with leading PAM solutions.
• Automation & Scripting for Efficiency: Sharpen PowerShell and scripting skills.
• Client & Consulting Excellence: Develop strong client-facing and consulting skills.
• Industry Certifications: Support for certifications such as Microsoft SC-300, SailPoint ISC, CyberArk PAM.
