IT Project Manager

The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing technology projects — ensuring that all objectives are met within the defined scope, schedule, and budget. This role coordinates cross-functional teams, manages resources, and serves as a liaison between technical and business stakeholders.

Intermediate–advanced English proficiency is required.

Core Responsabilities:

  • Project Management:
  • Define clear, realistic, and measurable project objectives.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and budgets.
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & control, and closure.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and coordinate development, QA, infrastructure, and other technical teams.
  • Promote effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Resolve team-related issues and maintain a high-performance environment.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Provide timely project updates and status reports to stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
  • Ensure alignment of expectations across stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Quality Assurance & Methodologies:
  • Validate deliverables to ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
  • Implement and enforce project management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid approaches).

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency with project management tools: Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project,
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and traditional frameworks (PMBOK).
  • Basic knowledge of software development processes, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Ability to perform data analysis and produce technical reports and dashboards.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Master's degree in Project Management, Information Technology, or an MBA (preferred).
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • Scrum Master (CSM, PSM)
  • ITIL
  • PRINCE2
  • SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager leading technology projects.

relocate to and reside in El Salvador
for at least
one year
