Role Description

We're looking for a Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale Blitz's core platform.

This is a full-time, on-site role in New York City, working closely with the founding team on mission-critical systems that power payments, workflows, and automation across the creator economy.

You'll be responsible for building reliable, scalable software—from backend services and APIs to core platform logic—and contributing to architectural decisions as we grow.

This role is ideal for engineers who want ownership, impact, and proximity to real product decisions, not just tickets.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that power Blitz's platform
  • Build scalable, production-grade systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and security
  • Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to ship features end-to-end
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
  • Help shape system architecture and technical direction as the platform scales
  • Debug complex issues and improve system observability and resilience

What We're Looking For

  • Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals
  • Experience with backend web development and building production software
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design, APIs, and data modeling
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and cloud-based infrastructure
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate technical ideas clearly
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience building or scaling fintech, payments, or high-throughput systems
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.)
  • Startup or early-stage company experience
