Software Engineer
, you'll develop and maintain high-performing features on a Ruby on Rails web platform, collaborate on new integrations, and deliver seamless software experiences for users worldwide. You'll work in a production environment that values clean code, best practices, and innovation at scale.

The Qualifications We Seek

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is required.

Skills & Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience
    working in a
    software engineer role or similar capacity,
    or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years of production Rails development.
  • 1+ years of front-end development (CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, React).
  • In-depth knowledge of testing (Rspec, Jest).
  • Experience with RESTful API.
  • Experience with
    MS framework and connecting to backend SQL database(s).
  • Proficiency with
    Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Experience with
    Sidekiq, Bootstrap, and Postgres.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Your Daily Tasks

Essential Duties:

  • Build new features from the product roadmap using efficient Ruby code and design patterns.
  • Maintain and improve existing code, tests, and features.
  • Work with various third-party software REST APIs.
  • Design, develop, and implement enterprise-scale solutions to support the organization's business strategy and goals.
  • Apply modern principles, methodologies, tools, and processes to launch new business capabilities.
  • Collaborate with professionals to set specifications for new applications.
  • Write high-quality, well-documented code and deliver complete applications on schedule.
  • Perform unit and integration testing before launch.
  • Test code for functionality, performance, and reliability to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Conduct design and code reviews of developed software.
  • Integrate applications with third-party products and existing IT infrastructure.
  • Maintain and expand technical expertise on new products and versions.
  • Review requirements and data models and translate them into responsible applications and architecture.
