Job Description: Homecare Scheduler
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organized and communicative
Homecare Scheduler
to coordinate and manage the daily schedules of caregivers and nurses. This role is essential to ensuring seamless service delivery, compliance, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in homecare scheduling, excellent English communication skills, and strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and assign caregivers and nurses to clients based on availability, location, and skill set.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date schedules using scheduling software.
- Communicate effectively with staff and clients regarding schedule changes, updates, and confirmations.
- Respond promptly to last‑minute changes, cancellations, and emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and agency policies.
- Collaborate with case managers, HR, and clinical staff to optimize staffing and coverage.
- Monitor caregiver attendance and follow up on missed shifts or tardiness.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all communications.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a homecare scheduler or in a similar role.
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- High level of professionalism and customer service orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in home health or non‑medical homecare settings.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English preferred).
