About Position
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Engineering Leader to join our innovative cybersecurity company. As a leader in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our sales engineering team.
This position involves the management of two different Appgate product lines: Zero Trust Network Access and Appgate Fraud Protection. The platforms include a wide variety of Zero Trust Network access tools, authentication frameworks, risk analysis tools and threat protection services. As such, this position requires a deep understanding of these principles, strong technical expertise, and exceptional soft skills.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in leading high-performing teams, fostering client relationships, and driving revenue growth through effective technical sales strategies.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of sales engineers, providing guidance and support in technical pre-sales activities.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales engineering team.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment on business objectives.
Technical Expertise:
Develop and deeply understand Appgate cybersecurity and fraud protection solutions, emphasizing secure access principles.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to provide valuable insights to the team.
Customer Engagement:
Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and tailor technical solutions that meet their cybersecurity needs.
Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value of our Zero Trust and Fraud Protection solutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, acting as a trusted advisor on cybersecurity matters.
Sales Support:
Work closely with the sales team to develop and execute technical sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
Provide technical expertise during the sales process, addressing customer concerns and ensuring successful product adoption.
Training and Development:
Implement training programs to enhance the technical and soft skills of the sales engineering team.
Stay informed about industry certifications and encourage team members to pursue relevant certifications for professional development.
Collaboration with Product Development:
Provide valuable feedback to the product development team based on customer interactions and market trends.
Collaborate on developing new features and enhancements to continually improve our cybersecurity solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience in the field.
Proven experience in a leadership role within a cybersecurity or technology-focused organization.
Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams.
In-depth knowledge of ZTNA principles and their application in cybersecurity.
Knowledge of banking cybersecurity and fraud strategies and related solutions.
Experience working with financial institutions is preferred.
Strong understanding of networking, cloud security, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
Having knowledge of fraud prevention, risk management, or cybersecurity is preferred. It would be beneficial to possess expertise in any of these areas.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about business and technical challenges.
Native Spanish speaker with proficiency in English is preferred
