Our Copy team plays a crucial role in increasing product visibility, boosting conversions, and ensuring brand consistency across listings. We're currently seeking an Ecommerce Copywriter to join our team and support our continued growth.

About the Role

As a Copywriter at SellCord, you'll focus on creating Walmart-optimized product titles, descriptions, and features using our AI-assisted tools and processes. You'll collaborate with account managers and SEO specialists to ensure every listing is keyword-rich, clear, and compliant with Walmart's style guide. The ideal candidate will have experience in marketplace copy, SEO, and D2C ecommerce marketing place platforms.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop clear, persuasive, and conversion-focused copy for product listings, including titles, key features, descriptions, and enhanced content, specifically within marketplace ecommerce environments such as Walmart.

  • Use AI-assisted tools to streamline and optimize the copy process.

  • Collaborate with SEO specialists to include relevant keywords and search terms.

  • Review and edit product copy to ensure alignment with brand voice and compliance standards.

  • Review AI-generated copy for clarity, grammar, compliance, and accuracy.

  • Participate in weekly copy review meetings and implement feedback in a timely manner.

  • Manage deadlines across multiple product launches and client accounts.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience writing clear, persuasive, and conversion-focused copy for product listings, including titles, key features, descriptions, and enhanced content, specifically within marketplace environments such as Walmart.

  • Strong understanding of keyword research and search intent for Walmart Marketplace, with the ability to naturally integrate primary and secondary keywords while maintaining readability, compliance, and brand tone.

  • High level of accuracy in grammar, spelling, measurements, claims, and formatting, ensuring copy meets Walmart style guides, compliance standards, and client-specific requirements with minimal revisions.

  • Practical experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT and to accelerate ideation, optimize structure, and improve efficiency while applying human judgment to refine, validate, and ensure quality output.

  • Ability to deliver precise product descriptions aligned with technical and functional details.

  • Ability to work within defined workflows, trackers, and task management tools, following briefs accurately, meeting deadlines, and adapting to batch-based production environments.

  • Demonstrates strong judgment when writing copy, ensuring outputs are intentional, accurate, and aligned with the brief, rather than relying on copy-and-paste outputs from AI tools.
