About the Role

We are looking for an experienced
Carrier Sales Representative
to join our logistics team. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with
at least 2 years of experience in carrier sales or freight brokerage
, who already manages a
strong portfolio of active carrier relationships
and understands the dynamics of spot market and contract freight.

The Carrier Sales Representative will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and maintaining carrier partnerships to ensure reliable capacity, competitive pricing, and high service levels across multiple lanes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and grow a
    network of qualified carriers
    (owner-operators and fleets).
  • Leverage
    existing carrier relationships
    to secure capacity and optimize coverage.
  • Negotiate rates and service terms aligned with market conditions and company margins.
  • Match carrier capacity with customer freight requirements efficiently.
  • Monitor carrier performance, including on-time pickup/delivery and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate carrier records, documentation, and compliance status.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and dispatch teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Stay up to date on market trends, lane pricing, and carrier availability.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience
    in Carrier Sales, Freight Brokerage, or Transportation Sales.
  • Established book of carrier relationships
    with proven ability to activate capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of
    spot market pricing, lane management, and load matching
    .
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working with
    TMS platforms
    , load boards (DAT, Truckstop), and CRM tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in
US domestic transportation
(FTL / LTL).

  • Understanding of compliance documentation (W9, insurance, MC authority).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding capacity and margin targets.
