Role Overview

This is a
high-impact, senior leadership role
overseeing our engineering content organization — the team responsible for building, scaling, and validating the structural and design calculations that fuel our platform.

This is
not a software development role
. Instead, you will lead the engineering leaders and technical teams who use our proprietary
Calculator Builder
to encode structural standards, design methods, and best practices into scalable, validated tools — without writing software.

This is our
first manager-of-managers hire
in engineering. You will directly influence team structure, delivery velocity, throughput systems, quality standards, and organizational scaling.

You will also be a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO.

What You Will Do
Leadership & People Management

• Lead and mentor
  Group Engineering Managers
  , who oversee engineering teams and technical leads.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, growth, and high performance.
• Develop leaders within the team and build strong succession pathways.
• Scale a distributed engineering organization while maintaining cohesion and quality.

Process, Systems & Delivery

• Own throughput forecasting and engineering KPIs (e.g., calculators/features per group).
• Build delivery systems, processes, and metrics that enable predictable, scalable output.
• Design onboarding, QA, and validation frameworks that uphold the company's high quality bar.
• Remove bottlenecks; partner with Product and Development teams to drive workflow and tooling improvements.
• Ensure effective use of the proprietary
  Calculator Builder
  to codify engineering standards into scalable tools.

Strategy & Scaling

• Ensure unit economics of engineering content remain sustainable as the company grows.
• Align engineering delivery with broader company growth objectives and roadmap priorities.
• Explore and manage relationships with external engineering partners to expand capacity.
• Help shape long-term strategy for team structure, product velocity, and content expansion.

Stakeholder & Executive Alignment

• Partner closely with
  Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success
  to ensure engineering output supports market and customer needs.
• Present engineering P&L, KPIs, forecasts, and delivery outcomes to executives and the board.
• Negotiate with external vendors, ensuring accountability around quality and timelines.

What We're Looking For
Leadership Experience

• 10–20+ years
  in engineering leadership roles, including experience managing managers.
• Demonstrated ownership of KPIs, budgets, P&L, or team-level financial outcomes.
• Experience re-engineering processes and scaling delivery teams across multiple locations.
• Strong people leadership skills: able to coach, mentor, and elevate managers and engineers.
• Comfortable in high-growth SaaS, consulting, or startup environments.

Technical Background

• Structural or civil engineering background is
  preferred
  , but candidates from adjacent technical verticals (product engineering, consulting, technical delivery) are welcome.
• Experience working with engineering standards, validation frameworks, or technical QA is highly valued.

• Location:
  Bogotá, Colombia (preferred) or Toronto, Canada
• Work Model:
  Hybrid — 3 days in-office, 2 days from home
• Office:
  15-minute walk from the Calle 127 TransMilenio station
• Contract:
  Full-time,
