Role Summary

The Dispatch Specialist is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and monitoring transportation and logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient movement of cargo. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage real-time operational challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch transportation activities according to operational requirements.
• Monitor shipments, routes, and carrier performance to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Communicate with drivers, carriers, terminals, and internal teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Update dispatch information and shipment status in company systems with accuracy.
• Respond to operational incidents and provide solutions to minimize delays or disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with Maersk's safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Maintain constant communication with stakeholders regarding shipment updates, changes, or exceptions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the dispatch and logistics operation.

Requirements

• High school diploma, technical or technological degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or related fields.
• 6 months of experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, transportation planning, or similar roles.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple real-time tasks.
• Good command of digital tools, logistics platforms, and/or transportation management systems (TMS).
• Full schedule availability (including extended hours if required by operations).
• Basic English is preferred (intermediate is a plus).
