Job TitleInternational Software Engineer (Web Applications + Data-Driven Systems)LocationRemote (Global) — must work primarily U.S. Eastern Time (EST/ET)Apply here: https://operationsarmy.com/applicationAbout the RoleWere looking for a strong international software engineer to help build and maintain web applications and data-oriented, data-driven systems. Youll work closely with product and operations to ship features quickly, build reliable backends, and create clean data pipelines and dashboards that power decision-making.This role is ideal for someone who is full-stack capable, pragmatic, and comfortable working in fast-moving environments where shipping and iteration matter.What Youll DoBuild and improve web applications (frontend + backend) with a focus on usability, speed, and reliabilityDesign and implement data-driven features, including analytics, reporting, and workflow automationBuild and maintain APIs, database schemas, and backend servicesCreate and optimize data models, ETL/ELT workflows, and integrations with third-party toolsWrite clean, testable code and contribute to code reviews and engineering standardsWork from tickets/specs, ask clarifying questions early, and communicate progress clearlyHelp improve engineering processes (documentation, monitoring, testing, deployment)What Were Looking For (Requirements)4+ years of professional software engineering experience (or demonstrably equivalent ability)Experience building production web applications using one or more of:JavaScript/TypeScript (React/Next.js, Node.js)Python (FastAPI/Django/Flask)Other modern frameworks are fine if you can ramp fastStrong fundamentals in:REST APIs, authentication, system design basicsRelational databases (Postgres/MySQL) and SQLData modeling and building data-heavy featuresAbility to work EST hours reliably (overlap required for meetings and collaboration)Strong English communication and proactive ownership mindsetNice to Have (Bonus Points)Experience with data tooling: dbt, Airflow, Dagster, Kafka, Spark, or similarExperience with cloud + DevOps: AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker, CI/CDExperience with analytics/dashboards: Metabase, Superset, Looker, PowerBI, or custom dashboardsFamiliarity with AI/LLM-powered applications, RAG, embeddings, or automation workflowsPrior work in operationally intensive products (marketplaces, BPO tooling, internal ops platforms)How We WorkRemote, async-friendly, but with EST collaboration hoursWeekly planning + daily check-ins (lightweight)Clear priorities, fast iteration, high accountabilityYoull be measured on output, reliability, and code quality—not hours onlineApply here: https://operationsarmy.com/application
