Data Engineer Academic Background Professional in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Science or related fields. Mandatory Certification: Certification in Big Data or Data Engineering Experience Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience working with data processing, analysis and modeling. Proven experience in: Construction and maintenance of data pipelines. Handling relational and non-relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.). Use of processing tools such as Python, R, Spark or similar. Integration of data sources and ETL/ELT transformation. Work in Cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP). Technical Knowledge Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, cleaning, and analysis. Experience in process automation with Airflow, DBT or similar orchestrators. Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or Looker for visualization (desirable). API management, data integration, and version control tools such as Git. Good understanding of data architecture and modeling practices (Data Warehouse, Data Lake, etc.). Main Responsibilities Design, build and maintain reliable and scalable data pipelines. Integrate multiple sources of information to make them available to the business. Perform data transformation, cleaning and quality assurance processes. Develop models and architectures that facilitate analysis and decision-making. Work hand in hand with product, technology and business teams to understand needs and implement data-driven solutions. Ensure data security, privacy, and governance. Optimize processes and queries to improve the performance of information systems.
