We are seeking a senior C#.NET software developer to maintain and build back-end web APIs for a small but very exciting startup. You will work primarily with Visual Studio,.NET, C#, AzureSQL, and Azure functions. You'll also get to work on calls to APIs for modern language learning models like OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google's PaLM2, Meta's llama 2, HuggingFace, and many more.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and customize API endpoints using Swagger.
- Create new views, stored procedures, and user-defined data types in AzureSQL.
- Create complex queries, joins, logic in stored procedures with complex business rules.
- Call APIs and iterate on prompts/AI models/machine learning algorithms.
- Create new AI models from scratch using C# and.NET.
Tools/Skills:
- C#
- NuGet packages/package management
- Visual Studio.NET
- AzureSQL Databases and stored procedures
- MS AzureSQL
- Artificial Intelligence models, algorithms, techniques
- ML.NET
**Requirements**:
- 4-year University / Bachelor's Degree (ideally in Computer Science)
- Minimum of 8 years of familiarity with relational databases and SQL Server.
- Minimum of 8 years as a professional software developer in IT departments.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience in software design and OOD methodologies.
- Experience with Git (repositories, branches, fetch, pull, push, merge, etc.).
- Experience in web services development (REST APIs).
- Experience in designing databases from scratch, including hundreds of tables, primary/foreign keys, indexes, triggers, performance optimization, composite keys, trade-offs between data storage options, data manipulation techniques, etc.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Some exposure or experience in using artificial intelligence models, APIs, algorithms, etc. would be a great bonus but not required to apply.
