**Senior Data Engineer**

Gorilla Logic is looking for a Senior Data Engineer, who will work with a team of engineers developing our client's system. This is a unique and highly technical role, requiring strong development experience in delivering leading-edge solutions. **Responsibilities**
- Design and develop data pipelines for ETL processes from various sources into a centralized data repository or data warehouse.
- Design and implement data models to ensure efficient querying and analysis.
- Develop and maintain data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Manage databases, optimize database performance, implement data security measures, and ensure data integrity.
- Design and maintain data warehousing infrastructure, including data storage, data processing, and data retrieval.
- Implement data governance policies and quality controls to ensure accurate, complete and consistent data.
- Collaborate with data scientist and data analyst to ensure data availability and accessibility for analysis and reporting.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends and insights that inform business decisions.
- Partner with other teams to understand business requirements, collaborate on projects, and develop solutions that meet their needs.
- Identify new opportunities to leverage data and data science across the organization.
- Analyze datasets and develop predictive models to identify trends and patters using regression and other statistical learning techniques.
- Participate in the design and execution of experiments to test hypotheses and evaluate the effectiveness of solutions.

**Technical Requirements**
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, or a related field.
- Experience with data modeling, data visualization, and data governance.
- Strong technical data science skills in SQL and a statistical programming language (ideally Python, close second is R) to ingest, clean, model, analyze, and visualize data.
- Knowledge of data cleaning, transformation, and manipulation techniques.
- Strong understanding of database management, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and statistical methods.
- Analytics mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work comfortably in ambiguous situations, launch new projects to achieve business goals, and work collaboratively in a dispersed team environment.

**Bonus Skills**
- Advanced degree in a related field that teaches statistics.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker and/or Tableau)
- Practical skills (even better would be experience) with cloud-based data systems and tools (SQL, Git, relational databases, ETL, and data warehouses)
- Familiarity with implementing and scaling statistical analyses and predictive modeling solutions (regression, PCA, random forest, clustering, support vector machines, dimensionality reduction, A/B testing, and natural language processing)
