We are looking for a **Regional Finance Manager - LATAM & Canada **to join our growing Corporate Accounting team. This position is to be based in **Mexico**. This full-time position will be responsible for leading the monthly close process, preparation, and reporting of local Financial Statements and Tax returns as well as the forecasting and budgeting processes, across certain entities in the Americas region. This individual will report to our Regional Finance Director.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Take day-to-day ownership of the local financial and accounting requirements across certain entities in the Americas region, including understanding and actively mitigating against any local financial risks
- Lead the local month-end close processes and maintenance of the general ledgers
- Timely and accurate preparation of local country monthly financial statements
- Review and approve General Journal entries, invoices, payments, and expenses, as required
- Perform monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations to ensure an accurate monthly accounting close process, including the review of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accounts
- Work with local vendors to assist in the preparation and review of Tax filings and local Financial Statements
- Assist with process improvements and automation projects across the region
- Coordinate the processes needed from the finance area for the new countries' openings.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience:

- BA/BS in Finance/Accounting or equivalent working experience required
- Relevant professional qualification in finance such as CA/ACCA/CPA required
- Business proficiency in the English language required
- 7+ years of accounting/finance experience preferred
- Experience in corporate tax in Colombia, foreign currency transactions and understanding of IFRS and/or US GAAP required
- Experience in corporate tax preparation, local statutory accounting reporting in other countries such as Canada, Brazil or Argentina preferred
- Technology-literate, Microsoft Suite and NetSuite experience preferred
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to work in both tactical and strategic capacities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to juggle with variety of tasks
- Ability to take ownership and carry accountability even when working closely together with the team
- Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills to enable effective interaction with all levels of personnel
