**Project Description**
We are looking for a talented, passionate and experienced Senior Software Engineer to round out our Story Helpfulness engineering team. The Story Helpfulness group supports Insider Reviews & Reference and Personal Finance business.
As a Senior Software Engineer you’ll work on a cross functional team made up of Engineering, Test Engineering, Product, UXD and Process to build seamless, beautiful and performant features, tools to manage them and the services that support them. Our team builds products & features for our editorial teams to create engaging content, content we monetize and content that provides guidance and instruction.
**Responsibilities**

- You have experience leading projects.
- You are interested in every aspect of the stack from top to bottom.
- You have a passion for mentoring and supporting others.
- You have experience working with client-side web technologies professionally (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React).
- You have experience with Node writing server-side JavaScript, React.
- You have experience building services in TypeScript/JavaScript or another language.
- You are a creative problem-solver who is always looking for solutions.
- You value testing your code and can implement unit and functional tests.
- You follow software engineering best practices such as writing clean code.
- You have applied experience and understanding with common software design patterns.
**Nice to have**
- You have experience with data, specifically Non-Relational Databases (MongoDB).
- You have Elastic Search experience.
- You have worked with data pipelines and integrating them.
- You have experience in Affiliate Marketing.
- You have experience working within an Agile environment.
