**Main responsibilities**
- Develops, reviews, and fully edits USAID required deliverables, such as quarterly reports, annual reports, Activity monitoring and evaluation plans and reports, annual work plans, and other deliverables requested in the cooperative agreement.
- Ensures submissions are accurate, complete, and compliant with USAID requirements and editorial specifications and assures POA and USAID guidelines, identity, and design brand definitions are followed.
- Reviews and upkeeps the supporting reference documents used as input of the deliverables.
- Coordinates and works closely with the technical, MEL and operational teams from POA and its implementing partners to collect and organize the necessary information in a timely manner.
- Receives and accurately interprets ideas, information, and needs.
- Collects, compiles, and writes periodic documents, such as reports, success stories, lessons-learned reports, newsletters, highlights, and ensures that language is clear, logical arguments flow smoothly, and content is adequate for the intended audience.
- Works with POA and implementing partners’ teams to review Activity documents for external dissemination, such technical briefs, guidebooks, or infographics.
- Responds to questions and information requests in a timely manner.
- Analyzes information required for the timely preparation of Activity deliverables and generates innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions to recommend ways in which to improve the production of technical deliverables and communications products.
- Supports POA’s Juntos Aprendemos’ Communications Manager, Chief of Party and Headquarters in preparing communications products within the framework of the project.
- Provides support by copy-editing documents drafted by team members, as required.
- Translates documents (Spanish-English/English-Spanish), as needed.

**Education, Experience & Training**
- Five or more (+5) years of formal work experience
- Three (3) years of technical writing experience or in editing, writing, or proofreading.
- Bilingual Spanish and English.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in English, writing, social sciences discipline, or a related field.
- Writing abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Ability to work tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

**Desired Qualifications**
- Work experience as technical writer in contracts or cooperative agreements funded by USAID and/or a United States Government department or agency (U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Labor, etc).
- Experience in education, early childhood development or child protection.
- Language skills and writing certification.
- Master's degree in English, writing, social sciences discipline, or a related field.
