Junior DevOps Support Engineer

**Job Title**: Junior DevOps Support Engineer - LATAM | Night Shift 35% shift differential

**Location**: Conquistadores neighborhood, Office-based (Medellín, Colombia) - In-office required

**Shifts Available**:

- Night Shift: 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Monday-Friday) - 35% shift differential

**Base Salary Range**: $4,000,000 - $6,000,000 COP per month, based on experience and English proficiency

**Company Overview**: Join our technical team as a Production Support Engineer providing critical support for our partner's AWS-based logistics SaaS platform. This role is essential in ensuring 24/7 system reliability and performance, working directly with our global partner to maintain and optimize their cloud infrastructure and ensure exceptional service delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide dedicated shift-based production support for AWS-hosted logistics platform
- Monitor performance and availability of critical SaaS systems during assigned shift
- Execute recovery procedures and maintain system uptime across AWS infrastructure
- Diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions using established troubleshooting techniques
- Collaborate with partner teams and internal operations teams to improve system reliability
- Manage and troubleshoot AWS services, ensuring reliable data flow and processing
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of incidents, resolutions, and runbook updates
- Assist in system maintenance activities and coordinate upgrades as required
- Respond to alerts and incidents promptly, ensuring mínimal service disruption
- Participate in shift handovers to ensure continuous service coverage

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- English proficiency (B2 level required) - Must pass language assessment
- Experience in a technical support role, preferably with AWS infrastructure
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with AWS services and architecture
- Experience or knowledge with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions)
- Knowledge of AWS cloud platform services
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, ELK stack)
- Scripting and automation skills preferred (Python, Bash, Pulumi)
- Database management experience (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL, Redis)
- Understanding of basic networking concepts
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git)
- Ability to work fixed shifts and maintain consistent attendance
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities

**Responsabilidades Clave**:

- Proporcionar soporte de producción dedicado por turnos para plataforma de logística alojada en AWS
- Monitorear el rendimiento y la disponibilidad de sistemas SaaS críticos durante el turno asignado
- Ejecutar procedimientos de recuperación y mantener el tiempo de actividad del sistema en la infraestructura AWS
- Diagnosticar problemas, identificar causas raíz e implementar soluciones utilizando técnicas establecidas
- Colaborar con equipos del socio y equipos internos de operaciones para mejorar la confiabilidad del sistema
- Gestionar y solucionar problemas de servicios AWS, asegurando un flujo y procesamiento de datos confiable
- Mantener documentación completa de incidentes, resoluciones y actualizaciones de runbooks
- Asistir en actividades de mantenimiento del sistema y coordinar actualizaciones según sea necesario
- Participar en traspasos de turno para asegurar la continuidad del servicio

**Cualificaciones y Experiência**:

- Alto dominio del inglés (nível B2 requerido) - Debe aprobar evaluación de idioma
- Experiência en rol de soporte de producción, preferiblemente con infraestructura AWS
- Sólidas habilidades de resolución de problemas y dia
