Senior Staff Forensic Accountant

We are seeking Forensic Accounting professionals to be based in Medellin to work across practices at J.S Held.

The Staff Forensic Accountant will assist in the review and measurement of large loss commercial insurance claims, litigation damage claims, and other assignments. Claims include property damage, product recall, liability, theft/fidelity, personal injury/wrongful death, employment claims, commercial disputes, and business interruption/lost profits. Businesses will consist of a wide range of industries and sizes.

**Responsibilities**:
Primary Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

- Manage different projects from start to end.
- Review and evaluate detailed financial statements and financial data (statements of revenue and expense, forecasts & budgets, production reports, etc.) in order to create a comprehensive analysis.
- Create Excel schedules using the financial information provided which will be used in the measurement of business interruption losses.
- Review detailed invoices and purchase orders, organize supporting documentation, and input data to track costs incurred.
- Analyze revenue and expenses to create projection models.
- Assist in inputting financial data and organizing large amounts of financial data - both paper and electronic to be used in review.
- Reviewing depositions and reports of other experts
- Communicating results of analysis to supervisors and/or clients.
- Assist in the preparation of written reports and written narratives to be sent to clients.
- Assist with other assignments ranging from unusual insurance claim-related matters to various litigation projects.

**Attributes & Background**:

- Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree with a major in accounting, finance economics, or math.
- 5 - 10 years of accounting, corporate finance, corporate security/ investigations or internal/ external audit functions.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills with ability to do VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Prior experience working for one of the Big 4 is preferred.
- Previous experience managing teams.
