Purpose_**

Contributes to the overall success ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Scotiabank’s Global Network Operations (GNO) team is responsible for operating the Scotiabank’s network globally on a 24x7x365 basis. The GNO team monitors the global network, troubleshoots, and implements required network changes. We provide Levels 1 & 2 support and work closely with the engineering teams in Global Network Engineering (GNE) to troubleshoot and fix complex network issues, ensuring business strategies, plans and all operations initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies/procedures, and enterprise service level agreements.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Network and ABM Operations, you will play a critical part in documenting, planning and implementing security remediations, services monitoring, triaging, actioning, and troubleshooting of network alerts/events globally, as well as planning and executing network changes to prevent or resolve network related incidents.

When required, you may be a part of after-hours change implementation or troubleshooting major incidents in the evenings or weekends.

- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education / Experience / Other Information (include only those that are specific to the role)_**:

- 4-7 years of project coordination/management experience
- Strong financial management experience with program/project budgets
- Strong communication (verbal/written/presentation), relationship building and analytical skills.
- Advanced experience with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint and enjoys creating presentations for executive management
- Knowledge of project management tools and techniques (e.g., CA PPM, MS Projects, JIRA, Confluence)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline
- Nice to Haves: PMP
