The IT Portfolio and Project Management Coach is responsible for providing guidance and support to project managers, portfolio managers, and other stakeholders in an organization. They help to improve the overall performance of project and portfolio management by coaching and mentoring individuals, providing training and development, and implementing best practices and processes. The Coach has a deep understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, and uses this knowledge to help individuals and teams improve their project management capabilities.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Provide coaching and mentoring to project managers, portfolio managers, and other stakeholders to help them improve their project management capabilities.
- Develop and deliver training programs on project and portfolio management best practices and methodologies.
- Assist in the implementation of project management tools and processes.
- Identify areas for improvement in project management practices and processes and develop plans to address these areas.
- Work with project managers and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize projects within the organization's portfolio.
- Provide guidance on project governance processes to ensure project success and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Conduct project and portfolio reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Provide guidance on project risk management and issue resolution.
- Support project managers in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in project and portfolio management.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in project and portfolio management, with a demonstrated track record of successful project delivery.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is required.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and influence others.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions and recommendations.
- Strong understanding of financial management and budgeting.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing demands.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, ADO, Jira or similar tools.
