Overview - Job Title: MedPay Specialist - Job Type: Full-Time Contractor - Workplace: Remote (Global) - Schedule: Monday-Friday, aligned with U.S. business hours (PST coverage preferred) - Compensation: USD $1,700 - $4,200 per month (DOE, global range) A growing international legal operations team is seeking a MedPay Specialist to manage the preparation, submission, and tracking of medical payment claims with accuracy and accountability. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that medical expenses are properly reimbursed, documented, and reconciled. You’ll work closely with case management and accounting teams to support smooth financial workflows and reliable recordkeeping. **Core Responsibilities**: Prepare and submit MedPay demand packages to insurers with >95% accuracy. - Audit medical records and bills for completeness and CPT/ICD coding accuracy. - Follow up with insurance adjusters to secure timely payment confirmation and resolution. - Reconcile received payments with case management and accounting logs. - Maintain precise documentation in legal CRM systems (Filevine, Clio, or CASEpeer). **Requirements**: **Must-Haves for the Role**: - 2+ years in U.S. personal injury law firm or medical billing for MedPay or insurance claims. - Experience using mainstream legal case management systems (e.g., Filevine, Clio, CASEpeer). - Demonstrated knowledge of medical billing codes (CPT, ICD) and EOB review. - Proficient written and spoken English for insurance and client communication. - Authorized to work as an independent contractor in home country; fully remote work aligned to U.S. business hours. - Adherence to HIPAA and client data-privacy requirements. **Qualifications**: - 2+ years of experience in a U.S. personal injury law firm, preferably in MedPay, billing, or insurance claims. - Solid understanding of medical billing, insurance reimbursements, and personal injury documentation. - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. - Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines. - Experience with legal case management systems (Clio, Filevine, CASEpeer, or equivalent). - Strong organizational and follow-up skills. **Benefits**: **Compensation & Benefits**: - Competitive monthly compensation in USD (DOE). - Access to a $200k+ perk marketplace with instant discounts on 150+ services. - Access up to 50% of approved earnings before payday (no credit checks or fees). - On-time, in-currency pay.
