The Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring the Scrum team follows the values principles and practices of scrum and performs at its highest level. The Scrum Master removes impediments so the team can focus on the work: facilitate meetings work with the Product Owner to make sure the product is ready for the next sprint; address team dynamics; and protect the team from outside interruptions and distractions.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage the agile process. Facilitate meetings such as daily scrum sprint planning sprint review and sprint retrospectives. Facilitate discussions decision making and conflict resolution among team members. Enforce scrum values to help the team achieve improved results.
- Shield the team from external interference and influence.
- Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values. Promote self-organizing teams; support and educate the Product Owner especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
- Report on project progress. Routinely provide team progress and related scrum metrics to stakeholders including sprint status team velocity burn down and burn up charts and impediment status.
- Assist with internal and external communication improving transparency.
- Support the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible and lead by example.
- Participate in Scrum-at-Scale to review and resolve cross-team impediments.
**Qualification**:
**Experience**:
- Three - five years of experience as a SCRUM in the IT sector.
- Expert level English written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in working in IT projects.
- Good Software project management skills (scheduling, effort estimation, stake holder management, change management).
- Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle.
Studies: Professional in systems engineering or similar with a master's degree and Scrum Master course, however these last two academic requirements are not exclusive.
