**Purpose of the role**:
The IT Cloud Engineer is to install, administer, and optimize company servers’ farms and related components (SAN,
Storage, Enclosures, Hyperconverged, virtualization, cloud, etc.) to achieve high performance of the various business
management of the server environment. Where applicable, the Datacentre Engineer will assist in overseeing the
physical security, integrity, and safety of the data centre/server farm and the overall internal process in the landscape
(DRP, Backup, Patch, update, authentication, etc.).

**Job role and responsibilities**:

- Scope:

- The IT Cloud Engineer will work closely with the NCI Operations seniors on the DDC (Colombia and

Philippines)
- The services will be provided to worldwide Inchcape markets.
- Will support the strategic infrastructure plan, according to the Enterprise strategy designed by the global

IT architect.
- Active participation on the projects, implementing the technical solution to align this implementation

with the architecture proposed.
- Will work in the operation including the Server administration (physical and logic admin), Cloud, maintain

the operation systems, the storage, the patching process, back up process and manage the internal
operation services as Active directory services, create and delete users, federation services and identity
services.
- Whiling to learn and to develop new skills through different resources that the company will provide and

self-learning attitude.
- Strategy & Planning
- Participate in key process improvements as they relate to the client/server environment.

ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of corporate servers to meet business demands.
- Implement policies, procedures, and technologies (including firewalls) to ensure server security.
- Assist to implementing data centre/server room security features, including HVAC control, environmental

alarms, access restrictions, and so on.
- Operational Management:

- Support in escalated server issues; provide timely response to customer escalations.
- Perform file system configuration and management; define and perform server backups and recovery

procedures.
- Implement server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches.
- Provide Web administration support by overseeing and maintaining Web server functions, such as

assuring logging and metrics data are stable.
- Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports.
- Operate enterprise directory services and supporting server infrastructure
- Formal Education & Certification:

- University degree in the field of computer science or management information systems or a related

discipline.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:

- Knowledge and Experience
- General knowledge of at least 3 of the following: RedHat, Linux, Exchange, SQL, IIS, Proxy, Apache, Site

Server, ASP, or XML.
- Basic concepts of Cloud Computing (Azure - Gcloud).
- General Knowledge server performance tuning and monitoring tools.
- knowledge Windows AD, Azure AD and AADDS (Azure SaaS AD)
- Understanding Windows 10 based desktop configuration & base imaging (SysPrep knowledge etc)
- General Networking knowledge / IP address schema / Network Routing Table knowledge / Network

Security
- Strong Microsoft Office 365 / OneDrive / SharePoint / Teams management
- knowledge Windows server, Linux and virtual environment (VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V, Nutanix)
- Familiarity with TCP/IP and network protocols, and operating system configuration.
- General knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN or NAS,
- knowledge of systems development life cycle methodologies.

decisions.
- Available to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.

- Monday - Friday, the time could be modified for worldwide service to cover.
