**Who You Are**

A Cybersecurity Engineer designs, implements, and manages security measures to protect an organization’s IT infrastructure, networks, and data. The engineer works to prevent, detect, and respond to cyber threats, ensuring the security, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of digital assets. They work closely with other IT teams to integrate secure practices and technologies into daily operations, ensuring a robust defense against cyberattacks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Security Architecture and Design: Design, implement, and maintain security infrastructures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption systems, and access controls.
- Threat Prevention and Detection: Configure and manage security tools (such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, anti-malware) to prevent, detect, and respond to cyber threats.
- Incident Response: Investigate security breaches, conduct digital forensics, and recommend corrective actions.
- Security Policies and Procedures: Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard company assets.
- Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and industry regulations (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Collaboration: Work with IT, development, and operations teams to integrate security across systems and software development lifecycles (DevSecOps).
- Security Training: Provide training to employees about cybersecurity risks and best practices.
- Reporting: Produce detailed reports on security incidents, system vulnerabilities, and mitigation efforts for management and compliance purposes.
