**About the job**:
This position is needed to help build an scalable platform that allows our Network team to manage, configure, and monitor our Network Infrastructure Platform. You'll work with a passionate, versatile, and collaborative team, tackling tough problems as we continue to expand our infrastructure. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to influence and implement architectural solutions that will enable us to achieve our goal of being the world's most trusted engagement platform.

As a member of our Network Platform Automation team, you will be directly responsible for helping build our network platform services and APIs. You will have the opportunity to build and integrate high standard tools for managing our global network.

**Responsibilities**:
In this role, you'll:

- Work in a small, high-impact, multi-talented engineering team.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects and other Software Engineers to tackle complex problems in distributed computing.
- Build and operate your team's services in a distributed production environment in the DevOps model.
- Ensure quality by writing unit, integration, e2e, and load tests.
- Rapidly acquire new technical skills and knowledge in a fast-paced, high-delivery environment
- Positive attitude, willingness to mentor less experienced developers, and aptitude to learn and execute quickly in a small team.

**Qualifications**:
**Required**:

- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and scaling complex distributed systems based on Java technologies.
- Extensive experience scaling production backend systems
- Competence in designing and developing horizontally-scalable, resilient, and performing-under-load systems
- Passion about establishing software development best practices and cultivate those by proactively mentoring your teammates
- Understanding of data integrity and secure data management principles
- Competence in agile processes, continuous integration, and test automation
- Experience operating production services in the DevOps model
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as AWS
- Schedule: ability to work non-standard, on-call rotation weekend and holiday hours

**Desired**:

- 1+ years of hand-on experience building great UIs and expertise in at least one web stack and framework (React is a plus).
- Experience in building automation and instrumentation tools to configure, monitor, and run the network and network devices.
- Interest in or experience with communications, multi-user, and telephony systems as a plus.

**Location**

This role will be based in our Bogota, Colombia office.
