Azure Cloud Software Engineer

J.S. Held is seeking a highly motivated **Software Engineer** with a strong focus on developing software integrations for J.S. Held’s internal systems in our team in Colombia. You will be responsible for creating reliable and accurate code to ensure system data is updated across the enterprise. You will build solutions in the Microsoft Azure cloud using serverless technology. Also, this person will participate in problem-solving and planning sessions to come up with the best solution for implementation. Our team is geographically dispersed, therefore the ability to be self-directed in your work is critical.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting in client communication and maintaining positive relationships with project representatives.
- Maintain and upgrade existing integrations.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Perform and document unit and integration tests before software roll-out.
- Maintain solution documents and ensure they are stored properly (visual code flows, requirements, API token information, meeting notes, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and fix software bugs and performance issues.
- Serve as an elevated support person for integration solutions.
- Resolve complex programming issues.
- Use version control repositories to store software code (Git).

**Attributes & Background**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Information Systems or equivalent.
- English Proficiency Required: Full Professional Proficiency.
- 3 years’ experience developing in C#.
- 3 years’ experience working with source control technologies (Git).
- 3 years’ experience working API development.
- 1-year experience in Azure development (Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API management, Azure SQL, among others).
- 1-year experience in SQL development.
- Understanding of different data formats such as JSON and XML.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum mainly).
- Understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Ability to work independently as well as an integral part of a team.
- Must have the ability to respond to rapidly changing environments.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate.
- Node.js
- CI/CD with Azure DevOps.
- Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates with Biceps).

- Azure API Management.
- Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
- Knowledge of Oauth2 and SAML authentication.
- Software Development Patterns.
