Junior Quoting Specialist

- What you will be doing
Provides budgets based on client completed quote questionnaire for temperature & time sensitive transport; Cell & Gene Therapies, Direct to/from Patient, general clinical trials, commercial pharmaceuticals and R&D material which includes:

- Pricing
- Packaging
- Routing
- Liaises with other World Courier offices/departments to find optimal solutions as necessary.
- A Jr Specialist understands the critical nature of these requests and produces the estimates in a timely manner. While trained across all the different levels of quotes, will likely spend most of the time on Level 1 and 2 and in a support role for the more complex (3 and 4) and RFPs.
- Handling Level 1 quotes (5 lanes or less) for the following packaging GTC, GDI, VIP, or any packaging within our global network.
- Handling Level 2 quotes (6-25 )
- Handling Level 3 quotes (26+ Lanes and out of network packaging) under the supervision of Supervisor or Sr Specialist
- Handling Level 4 quotes (RFPs, pallet containers and Heavyweight Quotes) under supervision of Supervisor or Sr Specialist
- Support quoting of large RFPs under the supervision of the Supervisor and be able to articulate impact of pricing to help us win more business.
- Use of quoting tool and discount software as applicable
- Navigate the transport management system
- Utilizing routing software, Share Point, Alteryx
- Responsible to log quotes daily
- Participate at Quote Team meetings as well as North American Sales Meetings.
- Domestic travel may be required up to several times per year.
What your background should look like
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: - Preferred education in fields such as business administration, information technology, data analytics, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree Program.
- 1-3 years logistics experience preferred.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail - Strong geography knowledge
- Strong Microsoft Office experience, especially in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Working knowledge of computers necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs
- Professionalism
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to develop and maintain cooperative working and business relationships with others
- Must be able to communicate with clients and understand their needs
- Team playermust be able to work collaboratively with peers and other departments, especially sales. Respectful in tone and in writing. Courteous.
- Curious and seeks to embrace continuous improvement of processes and outputs.
