Job SummaryAs a Flavorist Trainee, you will be part of a hands-on, entry-level program where you’ll learn how to conduct laboratory work and generate experimental data to support technical teams in both reactive and proactive projects. You’ll work under the guidance of experienced professionals and begin building your career in the flavor industry.
- Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related fields (degree optional).
- Recent graduate or in the final stage of studies.
- No prior experience required - full training provided.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities
- Participate in IFF’s structured technical training program:

- Raw material evaluation.
- Gustatory assessments.
- Technical study of ingredients.
- Flavor evaluation and formula weighing.
- Sample preparation and evaluation.
- Analytical measurements (e.g., pH, Karl-Fisher).
- Extraction of market products using standardized techniques.
- Basic operation and maintenance of GC-FID and GC-MS instruments.
- Routine maintenance of lab equipment.
- Organize and maintain lab supplies, instruments, and maintenance records.
- Follow lab safety practices and maintain cleanliness.
- Develop olfactive and taste discrimination skills to differentiate similar flavor profiles.
- Manage time effectively across multiple projects.
- Seek supervisor approval before making changes to assigned tasks.
