**Description**
We are looking for the right people to join our fast growing IoT connectivity provider company to continue building exciting technology that makes the life of our customers easier. Right now, we are looking for a **Senior SRE **to join our team in **Colombia or Mexico (Remote) **in order to help us find technological solutions to our customers and to develop innovative and competitive projects in the field of telecommunications.
**What you will be doing**:
- Set up and maintain all the cloud infrastructure we use for our platform
- Help our development team to create new features and enhance existing ones
- Be the ultimate cloud computing expert to create networking solutions
- Own initiatives aimed at improving processes and systems related to cloud instance validation, performance optimization, core network/VPC design.
- Participate in our sprint planning meetings and getting tasks done
- Develop IoT and Telecommunication projects
**Who are you?**
- You are an experienced SRE, cloud operations engineer, DevOps engineer, or similar who is looking for a new challenge.
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- You hold one or more current certifications on a cloud platform such as AWS, Kubernetes, Linux or similar technologies.
- Strong cloud experience including advanced knowledge of AWS services including VPC, IAM, EKS, ECR, EC2, S3, RDS and CloudWatch. Experience with Azure or GCP or other cloud platforms is also of interest.
- Programming experience in Java, JavaScript Python, Shell, or a similar programming language.
- Systems level knowledge and experience with Linux.
- Expertise in networking, including security, routing, load balancers, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of best practices around service telemetry, including metrics aggregation, distributed logging, and tracing in large, distributed systems.
- Working knowledge of relational databases such as Postgres.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment. This includes clear and concise communication across an organisation that is geographically and culturally dispersed.
- Desire to learn, advocate, and adopt new technologies and patterns.
- Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently.
- Able to work in a dynamic Startup Environment.
- Able to communicate in English (writing and speaking).
- **Experience in Telecommunications and IoT is a big plus**
