Your Role
As an Architect at Gensler, you must actively participate in all phases of the design process. Innovative thinking balanced with the ability to present real-world technical solutions to new design challenges. Must thrive with personal responsibility and accountability but embody and embrace open communication and team-oriented success. You will coordinate with a team of architects and designers to deliver unparalleled architectural projects. In this position, you will lead an account based in Brazil; therefore, the ability to communicate in both Portuguese and English is a must.
What You Will Do
- Assist with the design and delivery of a project's architectural and/or technical aspects.
- Own knowledge of architectural design principles, technical details, codes, and material characteristics.
- Providing project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
- Preparing and ensuring the accuracy of technical documents
- Working with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
- Produce architectural drawing
- Support communication between the project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials
- Other assigned responsibilities
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor of Architecture or foreign equivalent
- Licensed or registered architect
- 5+ years of project experience in retail and/or interior-oriented projects.
- Being able to communicate fluently in Portuguese and English is a must
- Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
- Proficiency in REVIT, Sketch Up, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office
- Construction documentation and/or design detail development experience
- Strong leadership, communications, and relationship management skills
- Ability to handle difficult situations with tact, grace, and emotional intelligence
- Proven fiscal accountability and responsibility on various project types
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Can maintain existing client relationships and build new client relation
- Additional software skills in AutoCAD, 3d Max, Illustrator, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Autodesk Certified are a plus
