Your Role

As an Architect at Gensler, you must actively participate in all phases of the design process. Innovative thinking balanced with the ability to present real-world technical solutions to new design challenges. Must thrive with personal responsibility and accountability but embody and embrace open communication and team-oriented success. You will coordinate with a team of architects and designers to deliver unparalleled architectural projects. In this position, you will lead an account based in Brazil; therefore, the ability to communicate in both Portuguese and English is a must.

What You Will Do

  • Assist with the design and delivery of a project's architectural and/or technical aspects.
  • Own knowledge of architectural design principles, technical details, codes, and material characteristics.
  • Providing project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
  • Preparing and ensuring the accuracy of technical documents
  • Working with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
  • Produce architectural drawing
  • Support communication between the project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials
  • Other assigned responsibilities

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Architecture or foreign equivalent
  • Licensed or registered architect
  • 5+ years of project experience in retail and/or interior-oriented projects.
  • Being able to communicate fluently in Portuguese and English is a must
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
  • Proficiency in REVIT, Sketch Up, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office
  • Construction documentation and/or design detail development experience
  • Strong leadership, communications, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with tact, grace, and emotional intelligence
  • Proven fiscal accountability and responsibility on various project types
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Can maintain existing client relationships and build new client relation
  • Additional software skills in AutoCAD, 3d Max, Illustrator, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Autodesk Certified are a plus
