This role will also manage the day to day interaction with our external auditor, manage the incoming requests and outgoing deliverables related to the audit process, as well as coordinate across the different finance functions to meet with both our internal and external audit schedule

Role Description

The primary purpose of the Audit PMO Manager is to provide oversight of the internal / external audit process in alignment with the company’s system of internal controls and compliance with laws and regulations. This role will also manage the day to day interaction with our external auditor, manage the incoming requests and outgoing deliverables related to the audit process, as well as coordinate across the different finance functions to meet with both our internal and external audit schedule.

The Audit PMO Manager will review and approve the audit plan, review staffing and organization of the function, and meet with management on a periodic basis to discuss matters of concern that may arise. Monitor the audit plan such that cost, quality, plan, time are controlled and achieved, through ensuring that all deliverables adhere to the timelines and the team is connected to meet the ultimate goal.

The Audit PMO Manager can expect to review significant accounting and reporting related audit requests to understand the corresponding response, the team responsible for the response, and the timing around that response to mitigate potential impacts on both the audit schedule and auditor’s opinion on Rappi’s financial statements.

The Audit PMO Manager reviews the results of an audit with management and external auditors, including matters required to be communicated to Rappi’s ExCo (executive committee).

Key job responsibilities- Ensure the successful delivery of the Audit plan to ensure Rappi’s financials are audited under PCAOB standards.- Provide guidance around the intent and complexity around each Audit requirement to ensure they are met on a timely and complete manner- Understand Rappi’s Finance organization to properly direct Audit requirements to the appropriate team and coordinate across functions when needed- Monitor Audit program reporting and assist the teams in reporting to Senior Management and stakeholders.- Establish frameworks and standards for Programme and Project Management- Manage and compile audit related project costs and KPI information- Update and maintain the Risk Log, Action Log, Decisions Log, and Issue Register (Audit RAID log)- Provide Project planning, Milestone and Scope management, Resource forecasting- Prepare regular status reporting for Rappi’s leadership

Basic Qualifications- At least five years of relevant project management and/or Audit execution experience- Bachelor’s Degree (Public Accountant, Business Administration or Industrial Engineer preferred)- PMP certified- Experience as part of a Big 4 Audit / Accounting firm a plus- CPA or equivalent a plus- Scrum Master a plus- Personable, proactive, professional and able to demonstrate full commitment to completing the annual Financial Statement Audit process on time- Ability to communicate and interact at all levels of the organization- Exemplary communication skills
