Cultural Bytes is seeking a highly creative and organized **Educational Curriculum Designer** to develop engaging, standards-aligned instructional content based on **children’s books** and **educational textbooks**. The designer will create lesson plans, teacher guides, and student activities that connect literature to learning objectives in bilingual and multicultural contexts.

**Scope of Work (To Be Completed Within 2 Months)**:
**1. Develop 5 Curriculum Units from Children’s Books (1 per book)**:

- Extract learning goals from story themes (literacy, SEL, cultural awareness).
- Write 3-5 lesson plans per unit with bilingual vocabulary and visuals.
- Design 1 worksheet per lesson.
- Include physical activity, music, or craft suggestion per unit.
- Create a simple teacher-facing guide with objectives, instructions, and material list.

**2. Create 3 Teacher’s Guides Based on Textbook Units**:

- Each guide should include:

- Unit breakdown
- Learning outcomes and pacing
- 4-6 activities with adaptations
- 1 formative assessment or quiz
- Visual support and instructions
- Organize in clear sections, ready for use by K-5 teachers.

**3. Deliverables Format**:

- All work submitted in editable formats (.docx or Google Docs).
- Must be suitable for both digital and print.
- Include consistent formatting, page numbers, and titles.

**Expected Deliverables**:
**Task - Quantity - Timeline**

Children’s Book Curricula - 5 full curriculum units - 1 unit every 8-10 days

Textbook Teacher Guides - 3 full guides - 1 guide every 2 weeks

Final Submission - 1 compiled folder with all documents - By Day 60

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Bilingual Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field.
- Proven experience in lesson design or teacher guide creation.
- Bilingual (Spanish-English) strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with early literacy, SEL, or multicultural education a plus.

**Compensation**:

- **Flat Project Fee**: $3,500,000 - $5,000,000 COP (depending on experience and quality of work).

**Assessing Experience**:
**Option 1. Curriculum Portfolio with U.S.Aligned Samples**
Submit 2-3 samples of previous work that reflect:

- Curriculum units or lesson plans aligned to U.S. standards (e.g., Common Core, SEL, Dual Language programs).
- Materials clearly designed for K-5 audiences in bilingual or multicultural contexts.
- At least one sample showing adaptation of a **children’s book or textbook** into teachable content.

**Option 2. Video Walkthrough or Screencast Explanation (5-7 mins)**
Choose one of your samples and record a **brief video (or voice-over screencast)** explaining:

- The structure and objectives of the curriculum/guide
- How it supports teachers and students in the U.S. context
- Your design thinking and methodology

**Option 3. Reference or Letter of Validation from a Past Client or Collaborator (Preferably U.S. or Bilingual Market)**
- Confirms your experience in curriculum development
- Verifies professionalism and timeliness
- Ideally includes context about the market served (bilingual, multicultural, international, or U.S.based)
