**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Perform financial analysis, identify trends and variances
- Review and provide in-depth analysis on project revenues, costs, budget and variances
- Conduct monthly financial reviews with management
- Responsible for month-end financial close process
- Reconcile General Ledger (GL) accounts
- Process/review various journal entries, including deferred rent, depreciation/amortization, accruals, and etc.
- Compile consolidated financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, equity statement and cash flow statement
- Assist in various audits including financial, overhead, and project audits
- Compile financial report and ad hoc reports as needed
- Improve and enhance processes and internal controls

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting; required
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experiences in public and/or private industry; required
- Experience in both GL and project accounting; required
- A&E industry experience is required
- Audit experience is preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Deep familiarity with accounting process and procedure, and internal controls
- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) overhead (preferred but not required)
- CPA is a plus
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

**Working conditions**

The work takes place mostly in an office environment. Must be able to work flexible hours (across multiple time zones) and to travel as and when required.

**Physical requirements**

Sit for long periods of time, interact with internal clients, and travel occasionally.
